Historic Preservation & Coversion for Commercial Use Charlotte, NC |
Architect: Robert Johnson Architects
Designer: Ali McPhail Interior Design Photographer: David Ramsey Photography |
Recognition:
2021 Contractor of the Year Awards Hosted by NARI of Greater Charlotte - Commercial Interior |
Overview:
This project required a lot of creative problem-solving to meet the historic preservation of the building’s quirks and charms as well as today’s requirements for commercial spaces. The finished product is a cheerful space that uniquely blends state of the art medical equipment with the home’s original character. The original pocket doors and oak flooring were restored, the grand staircase was returned to its original size and shape, and all trim that was salvageable was used throughout the first floor and a portion of the second. All light fixtures were updated and a warm, sophisticated color palette was used throughout.
